This is Sharon, I am posting a comment that Joyce put on the blog. She has not been able to submit a post yet, only a comment. We will try and fix that so she can. So, here is her comment about what she is preparing and her suggestion for the book discussion May 16th at 6:00 pm at her home.
Joyce: "I am preparing a traditional main dish of England or(the British)
because of the setting of this book. It will be pot roast with carrots
and potatoes. Please give me an idea of what you may be bringing.
Traditional English dishes have had competition from other dishes over
the years. Despite this, if you visit England, you can still be served
up the traditional foods we have been eating for years.
"Harry’s
mouth fell open. The dishes in front of him were now piled with food. He
had never seen so many things he liked to eat on one table: roast beef,
roast chicken, pork chops and lamb chops, Yorkshire pudding, peas,
carrots, gravy, ketchup and, for some strange reason, mint humbugs."
"Thank you so much for your patience.
I look forward seeing you all."
