Hey there Classic Reading Society Gals!
Sorry I've dropped the ball on the blog posting I hope you can forgive me.
We have had a great summer and enjoyed reading and listening to The Mayor of Casterbridge. We enjoyed the book discussion at Kris' house and finished watching the movie.
Our next couple of book picks were selected earlier and so I guess I thought most of you knew what the selections were. If you were one who didn't know I am sorry.
Currently we are reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, the date and time of the discussion hasn't been determined that I know.
For October we had decided it would be fun to read Dracula and have a book discussion Halloween party. So, as soon as you finish reading Jane Eyre start reading Dracula by Bram Stoker. OOOooOOOhhh, scary.
Wear a costume to the discussion.
The Purpose for the Busy Gals Reading Society is “To become well read in great classic literature, to study the grand masters, to become more intelligent, “to seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom” D&C 88:118.”

Summer Experiment
Dear Busy Gals Classic Reading Society Members,
Our next selection will be The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy. There is an audiobook version you can listen too if you want.
I thought as I was out walking that some of you might not want to be tied down by reading a long book over this summer. By listening this would give you the option of being outdoors, exercising, working around the house or listening while you commuted to work etc.
Let me know if you would like to download the audiobook. There is a free version to read on Kindle and probably other places on the internet to read also.
With those who attended the last discussion we came up with August 8th to discuss this book. Watch for more information or if the dates change.
